Ongoing project: Process High-Impact clang-tidy and Clang Static Analyzer Requests
The clang-tidy and Clang Static Analyzer issue trackers contain unresolved reports regarding false positives, false negatives, and invalid fix-it hints. This project systematically triages and resolves a targeted set of these high-impact diagnostic issues, prioritizing code patterns frequently used in modern C++ (e.g., templates, smart pointers, and perfect forwarding). The technical work involves refining Clang’s AST matchers and addressing specific path-sensitive CFG limitations to improve diagnostic accuracy. All fixes are implemented conservatively, driven by minimal reproducers, and validated with strict llvm-lit regression tests to ensure no new regressions are introduced before merging upstream.
